I finished pulling up the ivy this morning. The loriope is in on the left side but you can't see it to well. Tomorrow I plan to transplant 2 different ground covers I have at 110 to the left side near the steps. This is all very slow going but I bet my bones are getting stronger with all this workout they are getting every day.

Working at 317
I am taking out ivy and putting in vinca.
This is a half done front section, will transfer plants next week. I work every morning from 6:30 to 9 and I can really see improvement after this week. Richard cut down several trees and bushes in the past 2 months and that has helped too. Our renter will move in late September and can do maintenance but I need to get it at that point. Should have started this 15 yrs ago when we moved here.
The ivy here has grown over the low wall so it's tricky to get out but I can sit down when I do it. This is my last chore each morning so I can rest.
Along the stone wall I am pulling up ivy and transplanting hellebore and maybe boxwood behind it.
