Science Projects

The girls and their Florida cousins have been doing weekly science experiments from a set of cards that outline each experiment.

The beanstalks are coming along:

Two jars of hot water were supersaturated with baking soda and left to make crystals on the wool string strung between them.  After a week, there are some crystals on the string, water has been dripping into the saucer, and one of the two jars is covered with crystals on the outside.

Trip to DC

Cecilia had to go to DC for teaching activities last Thursday through Saturday, so Jane and the girls went with her and they all stayed at Aunt Lee's.

On Thursday, they went to the National Zoo (familiar stomping ground for the girls):  the girls were eaten by a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Years ago, Jane took her babies to the Children's Museum in DC, and it was always a great hit.  It was closed for several years and has been reincarnated in a new location in MD on the Potomac.  However, Jane did not like it nearly so well.

Clothes for School

Each night, the girls literally lay out their outfits for school the next day.  Maggie came down and said "You've got to see this, Nanny."
